Location High Wycombe Project * technical overview
Position of Network Reference Model and Testing Manager
Owing to the numerous networks that have been deployed a reference model is required to enable testing i.e. new IOS * OS releases to be carried out prior to being implemented in the live environment. The role requires a good understanding of networks and test management. Owning the networks reference model ensuring that it up to date with the live network and developing test function for BT Retail Networks. Managing all test activities, including analysis, planning and delivery of effective test harnesses.
Technical skills, qualifications and experience required Essential skills
Familiarity with IP networking, Unix and Windows
Process and policy documentation and audit principals
Ability to write test cases and recording results.
Familiarity with Testing process and lifecycles.
Read designs
Experience in network hardware and software troubleshooting.
Familiarity Cisco Routers and Switches
Sun Servers and Storage Devices
Desirable skills
Familiar with RIPv2, OSPF,BGP, IP routing and switching, IP addressing on multiple site*size basis, NAT, SNMP, load balancing, Firewalls, VoIP, BGP, Radio Technologies (5.8Ghz)
A Knowledge of Cisco 3500, 4500, 6500, 7200, 3700, Content Services Switch (CSS) load balancers.
Broad understanding of internet applications
CCNA*CCNP qualified
Past experience required
Minimum 2 years IP networking and support experience.
